Gimbie Adventist College of Health Science
Gimbie Adventist College of Health Science has been open only for a few years now, but has been the dream of many for much longer. We have had three successful years of nurses graduate from our school, and now we have a new group of midwives in training. Our goals are to produce and deliver a new and improved group of nurses and midwives into the world that are ready to give there all to helping the people.
Over the years when people have come to either teach or just visit our college, some have also brought nursing or midwifery books with them. Slowly our library is growing but we still don’t have everything that is needed for the students to have good resources. Our plan is to teach the students computer skills and to eventually have Internet access for them to access. This project needs teachers and donations to get our students more ready for the medical world.
Right now we have one teacher. If you feel that you would like to help us out by teaching a class or two please contact us as soon as you can. God bless!!!
Our students are dedicated and outgoing. Some walk for miles to get to school each day, but they won’t let anything stop them from coming. Many of our students cannot afford to pay the full price, so the Adventist Hospital has helped out several students by previous donors, but this will not last long for the expense to higher teachers and to keep the school going is getting to be too much for the Hospital to handle, and we fear that the program will come to an end. We are asking for generous people to help us keep the school open.
